2.# One and a half lakh crores saved from JAM { JAM- Jan Dhan, Aadhaar and mobile }and GeM { GeM - Government e-marketplace } in wrong hands: PM Modi : 22 Nov, 2019.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi while addressing the Conclave of Accountants General in Delhi said that Gandhi used to say that the way a person cannot see his back, it is very difficult for a person to see his errors. All of you are veterans who stand in front of government systems with mirrors and tell the shortcomings and mistakes. He said that the responsibility of the CAG is also more because you play an important role in keeping the economic conduct of the country and society sacred. And therefore, your expectations are also high.

#Important points of PM Modi's speech :

#1- JAM- Jan Dhan, Aadhaar and mobile to general human beings are directly benefiting from the schemes. And through the GeM - Government e-marketplace, today the benefit of more than four hundred and fifty schemes of the government is reaching the beneficiaries. Due to this, about one and a half lakh crore rupees are left in wrong hands.

#2- All stake holders today, they also need an accurate audit, so that they can implement their plan correctly  . At the same time, he also does not want that the audit process takes too much time.

#3- We aim to make evidence-based policy-making an integral part of governance by 2022. It will also help in creating a new identity of News India. In such a situation,
this is also the right time for change of audit and  assurance sector. Now CAG will also have to move towards CAG 2.0.

#4 - This organization is not limited to just statistics and process, but really has to come forward as a catalyst for good governance. You are seriously following the suggestion of making CAG CAG Plus, it is a pleasure.

#5- Your vision of what the goal was, what has been accomplished is very fine. You should also make the goals of your institution or this conclave by adding 2022, ie 75 years of your independence.

#6- In the last few years, many efforts have been made to deal with fraud in government departments. Now CAG will have to develop such technical tools so that there is no scope for forgery in the institutions.

#7- I am confident that the CAG will meet all the expectations of the country and empower "New India to be a clean India."
