Political Alliances are by nature short term agreements among long term rivals :-

This Holy Nation lost all its character, because of the citizens, as these people sell their votes to politicians for money, as these citizens sell their votes for a bottle of liqueur; citizens do not realize the value of Independence and Democracy; this is because, politicians failed to educate the citizens to know the value, the educated - illiterates, do not use their vote, keep away from all these tamasha, so all regions became under the control of some family or other, and exploitation of ignorant citizens continued by dividing them by caste, religion, language etc... this lead the way to the entry of criminals in politics .. useless cinema fellows when they lost their glamour and work; ..

Regional parties flourish by spreading hatred among regions on various disputes, then separatism on various issues lead this Holy Nation to Slavery soon, this reminds, that before foreign invasions various regions were ruled by small kingdoms, and the Nation was under the rule of great dynasties such as Mouria, Guptas ...as we read in history, then what happened suddenly, we failed to stop all those cruel invasions, religious conversions, atrocities etc .. in my opinion then there was no unity as one Nation and one people; .. this is seen even today, as we tend support all these new trends of regional politics etc .. we still not one Nation and One people in the heart and mind.'

While the alliance partners come together to utilize each other's strength and weaknesses, they are usually wary of protecting their home turf without ceding ground to their partner. Everything mostly is hunky Dorey as the alliance partners agree on the proportion of each other's strength or local politics forces them to take a stand which is playing to the gallery. Many a times a crisis is also cooked up to hide their own failures in the domestic front.

All the alliance partners who are leaving NDA have one or the other reason to leave and BJP is not too worried about the fallout. While in case of the biggest NDA partner, Shiv Sena started criticism after it failed to digest the fact that people of Maharashtra gave twice as much seats to BJP compared to the Sena. While the anger is ostensibly directed on us, their real anger is towards how people of Maharashtra trust us more than Shiv Sena.

The case of TDP is more of a domestic power play looking for a convenient scape goat so as to defend against any possible uncomfortable questions they may have to face. It is a fact that all economic promises which a special status provides will be provided to Andhra and not bestowing the status in name is mere technicality. The BJP leadership Amit Shah ji himself wrote a detailed letter exposing the claims of TDP and we will carry the same message to the voters of Andhra.

While BJP both in Maharashtra and Andhra will look to preserve the alliance, it doesn't necessarily mean that we are on back foot.
II.
1.
Politics is a game of numbers. A person become MLA even if he can get one vote more than the other contestant. So every party counts on its numbers and the votes that can be added alliening to other party.
2.
In 2014 Modi is a person who can add numbers to any party. So many came under his umbrella. But now media is not at all happy with his policies. There is no special treatment for media in the Delhi. This made them to lose their unearned treasure. So they are trying to show a picture that Modi is hated by voters and he even may lose deposits in his Varanasi constitutiency. The truth will come out only in 2019 when results are announced. But till then the allience parties which are afraid of losing their numbers coz of Modi are distancing themselves from BJP. Many regional parties want to add votes to their contestant at others cost and don't want to lose for a person who is at Delhi. The other problem is they have no control on Modi as was in earlier coalitions. So they cant demand him for some freebies to their states so that they can project themselves that they made the PM/center to bend on knees and brought this that etc.

Till their cadre gives them the ground report about Modi they rely on media and play safe by getting out of NDA.

Last but not least, these parties can go to Amit shah at any time for an alliance even after elections like nitish did in Bihar.

I think now one can understand the reason behind the smile of Amit shah when any regional party says that it came out of NDA on ideological differences, diarrhoea , head ache, fever, state welfare , demand of ppl, tight jeans etc.

As usual 2019 election BJP will fight with Modi magic and not on the strength of opportunistic regional parties which feel that they are king makers but cannot win a single seat without any alliance (need not be BJP)
III.
1.Of late NDA, is experiencing a series of desertion from Shiv Sena, TDP, some smaller parties of UP and Bihar. TDP by distancing from BJP, on the issue of special category to AP, has not gained anything in the state. His rantings at the fag end of his term is not carrying conviction with the people. Just as in 2004 TDP is bound to lose heavily. If TDP were to have been in good terms probably he would have sailed through, since BJP, would have added at least 3% to 5% votes. Though BJP itself may lose nothing or very marginally since it is not a player in AP, TDP may lose its government.
2.Shiv Sena has a genuine reasons for breaking the alliance, though it is not prudent. When BJP stood alone and out witted Shiv Sena in the assembly election, it lost the upper hand it enjoyed till recently. Though it goes separate BJP may not lose if Shiv Sena contests solo, because BJP has established itself as a powerful party in Maharashtra. Though BJP may lose it may be only very marginally. In three cornered contest BJP certainly stands to gain.
3.Akali Dal and JDU, may exert pressure for increase in seats. Here BJP may have to convince it's partners and how they will go about it need to be seen.
4.When the political parties find the going not good for itself because of huge anti-incumbency or scandals it got involved in, normally to get public sympathy raise some other issue. This is what TDP is doing. Political alliances tend to change to suit the time.
5.BJP can stand on its own without having to depend on allies in many states. The party is quite strong and not as fragile as it was in 2004. The party will never go after these persons to reconsider their decisions. Also the present leadership, will not compromise. Hence these parties leaving NDA will not have the effect they think it to happen.
IV.
Only TDP has officially left all other parties like Shive Sena wanted to be a part of the national government till the last date and go into the election without and against the central government so that they can collect the opposition and position both the sides votes and return to the government with the better negotiation power. The same thing did with by Nitish, who played the same role. By making exit from the NDA, he made his alliance with the RJD and there he received the votes of the RJD’s followers as well and he returned back to the NDA. So right now these political parties wanted to collect those votes, which had become the anti- Modi votes.
1.Question is who is leaving NDA? Apart from TDP and GJM, no one has officially quit NDA. With the fortunes of YRS Congress rising, TDP needed a Villain. It might be a planned divorce to begin with.
2.Shiv Sena has declared that it will content alone in Maharashtra. Identical as the Assembly elections and with Rane in BJP, its advantage BJP.
3.Data shows that wherever local parties have fought independently, BJP has benefitted. Be it Bihar, UP, Maharashtra, Haryana or Nagaland.
However, its all about the last 5 months when ticket negotiations begin. I am guessing Nitish & LJP will also leave. SAD and NEDA may stick around but thats all. But a large number of smaller outfits will join.
VI.
Political scenario is changing day by day so it’s difficult to say who will stay with whom but BJP is the only pan India party in India today so I don’t think if people’s want Narendra Modi to be PM any alliance can stop that after all its people who will take the decision.
