A PERSON in the twilight of wakefulness needs but a slight nudge to come fully awake.

A person asleep, needs a sharp knock, a shock.

In the 1950's, India was a country asleep to its own potentialities, a country demoralized by foreign occupation and intimidated by years of Brahmin monopoly of the Upanishadic heritage. The guardians of the richest spiritual inheritance on earth, the Hindus, had become strangers to thc source of their own tradition-Vedanta. Veda Vyasa's and Sankara's legacy lay dusted over with fears and prejudices. Even the priest class. understood little of the knowledge hidden in the Upanishads.

A culture thus slumbering needs a strong knock to come' awake. That knock came from Swami (Chinmayananda, who, along with the Rishi of the Kathopanishad, shouted to all who would listen: "Awake! Awake to your own destiny."

FOR POLITICIANS HERE : - SANATANA DHARMAM = HINDISM = HINDUTAVAM IS ALLERGIC, AS FOR THEM IT IS AGAINST SECULARISM!!!

ASK THEM WHAT DO YOU MEAN SECULARISM THEN ? IS IT DISCARDING SANATANA DHARMAM FOR ISLAM AND CHRISTIANITY = VOTE BANKS ( FOR YOU ) ?

Listen what Swami Chinmayananda said :

All of us have only twenty-four hours per day.

Whether one is a mighty person who is making history in the world, or just earning his livelihood, this is true.

After twenty-four hours, the next day comes — to a man of achievement, to a great scientist discovering, to a poet writing, to an immortal artist painting, to an ordinary laborer working.
Three hundred and sixty five days make a year.

Yet you find that the men who make history within a short time of ten to twenty years carry out such a wonderful achievement as to leave behind something remarkable, for which the succeeding generations are grateful.

Often it is a wonder to many, as to how one ordinary individual, within a short time could do so much work, could contribute so much to the world, while there are others with him/her, working much harder, but leaving nothing behind.

When we act, the glory of the action is dependent, not upon the environment, nor where you work and how you work, but upon the intention or motive behind the work, which lends enchantment to the very work.

The work is glorified it gathers a new momentum, it bristles with a new ardor, only because of the faithful intentions of the heart behind the worker’s hand.

NOTE :
1.
Self-redemption must come ultimately from ourselves.
The external props such as temples, idols, and guru are all encouragements and aids.
They must be intelligently used to help build up inner perfection.

2.
"To provide to individuals, from any background, the wisdom of Vedanta and practical means for spiritual growth and happiness, enabling them to become a positive contributor to the society.:

3. POLITICIANS ARE NEGATIVE CONTRIBUTERS OF SOCIETY, AS WE SEE TODAY IN BHARATHAM .....

SRIMAD BHAGAWAD GEETA IV: 7-8

Whenever there is decay of righteousness,
O Bharatha, and a state of unrighteousness,
then I manifest Myself. For the protection of the good,
for the destruction of the wicked, and for the
establishment of righteousness, I am born in every age.

The Nehru-Gandhi dynasty starts with the Mughal man named Ghiyasuddin Ghazi. He was the City Kotwal i.e. police officer of Delhi prior to the uprising of 1857, under the Mughal rule. After capturing Delhi in 1857, in the year of the mutiny, the British were slaughtering all Mughals everywhere. The British made a thorough search and killed every Mughal so that there were no future claimant to the throne of Delhi. The Hindus on the other hand were not targeted by the British unless isolated Hindus were found to be siding with the Mughals, due to past associations. Therefore, it became customary for many Mohammedans to adopt Hindu names. So, the man Ghiyasuddin Ghazi (the word means kafir-killer) adopted- a Hindu name Gangadhar Nehru and thus saved his life by the subterfuge. Ghiyasuddin Ghazi apparently used to reside on the bank of a canal (or Nehr) near the Red Fort. Thus, he adopted the name ‘Nehru’ as the family name. Through out the world, we do not find any descendant other than that of Gangadhar, having the surname Nehru. The 13th volume of the “Encyclopedia of Indian War of Independence” (ISBN:81-261-3745-9) by M.K. Singh states it elaborately. The Government of India have been hiding this fact.
